The City of Socorro will be holding two Public Hearings at 6:00 p.m. at a Special Council Meeting on June 21, 2010 at City Hall, 860 Rio Vista Rd., Socorro, Texas. The purpose of the public hearings is to allow any interested person to appear and testify at the hearings regarding the following:
Amendment No. 1 to Ordinance 273. An Ordinance of the City of Socorro, Texas adopting an amended Organizational Chart for the City. Click Here
Amendment No. 3 to Ordinance 246. An Ordinance amending the regulating the permitting, licensing, and insuring of each fire work stand selling or otherwise dealing in or with fireworks within the municipal limits and within 5,000 feet of the municipal limits of the City of Socorro, Texas. MUNICIPAL WARRANTS
The City of Socorro, Texas is conducting an AMNESTY period for unpaid Municipal Warrants. This amnesty period will run from Friday, March 23, 2007 - April 6, 2007. During this period the $50.00 Warrant fee will be waived for each outstanding warrant paid. The Socorro Police Department will begin looking for those individuals who failed to take advantage of this amnesty period by attempting to execute the outstanding warrants at homes and businesses.
