The recount of the May 8, 2010 Election of the City of Socorro, Texas which was conducted for the Mayoral position reflected that there was no change.
As a result Guillermo Gandara Sr. was declared the new Mayor for the City of Socorro, Texas as certified by the Elections Administrator.

The City of Socorro will be conducting an election on Saturday, May 8, 2010 to elect a Mayor and 5 City Representatives (4 Single Member Districts and One At Large Member). Information concerning the election will be posted to this site as it becomes available.
